Through the Sea
The space of the airport floors symbolically displays the rising waves of the Black Sea and the dazzling shine of the sun playing in its waves. The design concept is “Through the Sea”, because the rays of the sun seem to pass through the sea through the spaces of the airport terminal hall. Thanks to the exterior of the terminal structures and natural lighting, light filters in and passes through the terminal, connecting the outside with the inside.

Facades
For the front and rear facades, a steel frame was used, the same as when designing the roof. Metal sheets located horizontally increase resistance to lateral loads, and sheets located vertically maintain a constant load from the glass. Aluminum sheets, metal panels and energy-saving glass were used in the exterior of the terminal, which facilitated maintenance and increased energy savings.
